The much-anticipated Blantyre 42.195 km Race is set for Saturday, 4th October 2025, under the theme “𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞.”
The announcement was made today during a press briefing held at the Malawi National Council of Sports offices in Blantyre.
This year’s race will feature a 42.195 km full marathon, 10 km and 5 km races, as well as aerobics sessions. Winners in the full marathon stand a chance to win up to MK2 million, while additional prizes will be awarded across other categories.
Veteran athletes aged 60 and above are also being encouraged to take part with free registration.
